To be able to create digital content, a process needs to take place. 

The process of digital literacy includes the need to have:

• Technical skills: the ability to use hardware, software and digital platforms.
• Information skills: the ability to correctly search, select and use the information available online.
• Communication skills: the ability to create and share effective content through different digital media (text, images, video, audio).
• Critical and security skills: the ability to protect one's privacy online, assess the veracity of information, and interact safely and responsibly.

Writing software is a tool that is intended to aid in the creation, editing, organization, and management of written content. These programs vary in functionality and complexity, but in general, they are designed to support different forms of writing, from creative writing to professional document writing. Suitable for writers, students, professionals, and anyone who needs to write and format documents.

Many software can be found in both free and paid versions. Often the free versions are very complete although the paid ones are a little more performing, providing enhanced performance and additional capabilities.
